Brine & Barnacle Boiling Co was established in 2022 by Rachel & James Galvin, two passionate food lovers who grew up on the rocky shores of Nova Scotia.
In their home province of Nova Scotia it is common practice to boil handfuls of fresh lobster and crab in ocean water before sitting down to share it with family and friends. As Maritimers, Rachel and James quickly noticed the lack of seafood boil options available in Metro Vancouver.
They decided to start Brine & Barnacle to introduce West Coasters to one of Atlantic Canada’s favourite past times: Sitting around with loved ones, cracking shells, and sharing conversation, laughs, wine, and lobster. Now, they have passed the torch to the Cross family! With over 10 years of restaurant experience, event planning and a love for lobster boils the Cross family will be bringing the long table seafood boils that are common place in Eastern Canada to Metro Vancouver!
